Freddie, Felicity and Francine's Water Dance

As I said earlier today, the rain keeps on coming. The sun peeped out for a tiny bit but it is still raining lightly. Just before I got supper I looked out the kitchen door, waiting for my husband and there in the rain made pond in the drive way was Freddie, Felicity and Francine Finch. All 3 yellow finches began their water dances. They performed flapping their wings and hopping up and down. One would jump out and dry for a minute and then another. Then the first one would jump back in. This went on for nearly twenty minutes. I completely enjoyed myself watching their performance.

As my husband was pulling in they flew out of the rain pond and on to the grass. I thanked them for such a lovely performance and said goodbye. I blew them a kiss and sent them my prayers and love. I am looking forward to another show really soon. There is nothing like a water dance by 3 exquisite yellow beauties to make you smile on a rainy day. God bless Freddie, Felicity and Francine. Thank you for such a beautiful show and for giving me such a big smile!

Pollina's Rainy Day Blessing

It is raining again! For some reason my little dog, Kiely does not like to go out in heavy rain. I knew she had to go out and decided I would take her for a little ride. We went down to the boat ramp a little ways down the dirt road from my yard. As we pulled in I noticed no cars were there. I decided to park by the boat entrance. As I slowly drove to the parking place I noticed Pollina, a snapping turtle sitting in the sand, well mud. Pollina was bigger than Shona, another snappig turtle that visited my yard, recently. I gently drove by Pollina and quietly took Kiely out of the car. Kiely did not seem to notice Pollina. Pollina did not seem frightened as she still had her head out of her shell. Kiely and I walked around and Kiely did her dog business. Of course, we both got soaked. It was time to go, as I was leaving I gently spoke to Pollina and told her I would pray for her and the eggs she was evidently about to lay. Kiely and I went home and got dry.

A few hours later again Kiely was acting like she needed to go out. Again, we went in the car to the boat ramp. Pollina was in the same spot she was in earlier. She was laying her eggs. As I drove by her I glanced and both of our eyes met. I gently told her I was praying and I would watch over her eggs. I was relieved she found a cozy place out of the way of traffic. Kiely and I walked around away from Pollina. When it was time to go I put Kiely in the car and told Pollina that I would be thinking of her. I blew her a kiss and got in the car. While driving back home I thought about the blessing Pollina gave me on such a rainy and kind of dreary day. I decided to stop complaining about the rain and think about the beauty and precious gifts of nature all around me. Thank you, Pollina for your rainy day blessing. Angels are with you and will keep you safe. Your eggs will be guarded by angels and blessed by God. God bless you, Pollina.

Sir Winston's Surprise Visit

Yesterday afternoon I was washing the dishes and happened to look out the kitchen window. In our yard we have three apple trees, one pear tree, several birch trees and many more. As I glanced out the window I spotted a surprise visitor, Sir Winston, Buck. First I thought he was a huge dog. Sir Winston was nibbling on the apple buds that just flowered into tiny little apple bits. His horns were not yet horns but I knew by instinct he was a buck and very masculine. He turned and glanced at me, as if to say, "Just helping myself and I'll be on my way". Sir Winston finished his apple bits and turned towards me and said goodbye. He shook his head and shook his white tail. He then walked over to the man made pond and took a drink. From the pond Sir Winston Buck was on his way to his next adventure.

I was so very blessed to have Sir Winston surprise me with a visit. Earlier that day I had been grumbling at how many tasks I needed to complete. I felt frustrated and aggravated at the day in general. Sir Winston Buck made me smile and brought me back to all the beauty I have right in front of me. Thank you, Sir Winston and God bless you. God bless all deer.

Brown Eyed Susie

Susie, a young white tailed doe, came to visit over the weekend. I was out in the yard with my husband around supper time. We were checking on Shona, a snapping turtles's eggs. Susie stood on the lawn and just stared at my husband and me. I said a prayer for her and told her quietly we meant her no harm. Susie was close enough so that we could see her precious brown eyes. She stayed in one spot for about 5 minutes or so. I was suprised she stayed so long after spotting us. Then it was time for her to go. I prayed for her and blew her a kiss. I told her she was welcome at anytime.

The next day I went to the vegtable garden. I noticed deer foot prints. I smiled and said ok Susie I know you were here. I told her she was welcome to the green beans when they flower but asked her to not eat the pumpkin. I felt very blessed to have such a sweet visit from such a beautiful brown eyed Susie. God bless Susie and all deer.

Shona

About a week ago Shona, a snapping turtle, came to visit. I first noticed her in the driveway in the warm sand. She stayed there for a while and then she went out into the dirt road. I noticed the school bus was coming down the road. I quickly, slowed down the bus and waited for Shona to go back into our yard. Shona went back into our yard and found a spot under a birch tree in the sand, at the edge of the driveway. She stayed there for about 5 or 6 hours. I went out once and told her I would pray for her. I knew she was about to lay her eggs. She had dug a hole and was sitting in the hole.

That evening I went out to check on Shona. She had left and the hole was now covered up with dirt and sand. Shona had laid her eggs. Immediately, I said a prayer for her and told her I would watch over her eggs and pray for her babies. I am not sure how long it takes for the eggs to hatch. I pray for them everyday. God bless Shona, her babies and all turtles.

Abby's Gentle Nudge

I met Abby a few weeks ago in the parking lot of the supermarket where I shop. She was getting ready for a day event with her owner and several other horses and owners. Abby, is a deep brown Morgan breed. Her eyes would melt anyone's heart. I started to pet her and tell her how beautiful she is. She kept looking at me with those beautiful brown eyes. It was almost like we knew eachother forever. All of a sudden she nudged me and laid her head on my chest. I kept gently petting her and telling her she was beautiful. She then reached up and kissed my face. I was completely filled with peace. When it was time to leave I said goodbye and she got a little anxious and began walking around in circles. I told her I hope to see her soon and she will always be in my prayers. Once again she nudged me and laid her head on my chest. I gently said goodbye while petting her. I reached down and kissed the top of her nose. Then she reached up and kissed my face goodbye. Tears filled my eyes and I felt like a blanket of warmth and peace was being wrapped around me. I was so blessed to have received such precious gifts. I will always remember the gentle nudge of Abby and the overwhelming peace and love she gave me that day. God bless Abby.

Thank you to my winged friends

I thank you, my precious winged friends... chickadees, blue jays, crows, red winged black birds, cow birds, morning doves and many more. Each of you has brought me so much comfort, especially through the cold, dreary Maine winters. I embrace each of you in God's perfect love. May angels surround you in God's pure light, love and protection. May you always have an abundance of food, safe shelter and always know that you are dearly loved. Thank you, my precious winged friends. God bless you.
